I strongly believe that I am an exceptional candidate for the position of tennis team captain and would be honored to serve as Captain for Boys Texan Tennis. I feel I am the kind of athlete that coaches respect and teammates can trust. The position of captain is given to someone that the team respects and trusts to lead them in the right direction. That position is one of great responsibility and one that I would not take lightly. I have a great passion for the game, for competing, and for my teammates. As Captain, I would treat all teammates, girls and boys, with respect and recognize the strengths and contributions made by all team members. I have a great deal of leadership experience through scouting, my summer jobs and through leadership positions at school. I have served as Senior Patrol Leader which is the highest leadership position available to a scout. Currently, I am completing my Eagle Scout Project which will be installing several picnic table on the WHS tennis facilities grounds. I have had to create a plan, organize logistics, fundraise and manage the entire project. I chose this project because I wanted to give back to a team that has been like family to me in my high school life. In the area of employment, I was the youngest person hired by the Lion’s Club Tube rental. By the end of my first season, I was selected as Employee of the Year by my peers and supervisors.
