Terry Fox, born in 1958, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is one of Canada's greatest modern heroes because he did something amazing even though he had lost his leg. At 19 years old, Fox was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. Doctors decided to amputate most of his right leg.
