Terry is my step dad’s name. My mom brought him home for me to meet him when I was in seventh grade. I had just turned thirteen. I didn’t like Terry at first because he was a lot older than my mother, and my dad just passed away about six months before. My dad and I were the bestest of friends and his passing was very hard on me, and to this day it’s still hard for me to talk about that day. So when my mom brought home Terry I thought he was trying to replace him, or I was just hurt that my mom had moved on so quickly. But a few months later my mom decided to move in with Terry and his two sons, which did not go over well with me. I refused to move in and so my grandma and grandpa who lived right next door to me let me stay with them. My mom was hurt but she also was understanding on where I stood. …show more content…
I was bullied by the ninth graders I made no friends because everyone else made their friends in the seventh grade. The teachers were not nice either I tried to get help but they “didn’t have the time” or just didn’t want to. My mom even emailed the dean of the school and set up a meeting but he didn’t even attend it was just between my mom and the teacher, which resolved nothing. Finally, I convinced my mom to put me back into my old school and we were able to get me out of there. I was reunited with my friends which made me feel so much better. But I still felt judgment from the other kids, I felt like they were always staring at me and talking about
