These agencies were in charged at that moment in the process of deciding whether or not my son was allowed to attend that particular school. Due to the schools having boundary policy, we had to live within the limits designed to that particular school, county and district. At the second station, we needed to put our child in a list, so that they could perform a language placement test. Due to us being bilingual, our child needed to take the test to see if he qualified to enter the PK program. In order to qualify for PK, a child must meet certain criteria. At this particular moment two agencies were involved in the decision making. First, was the Texas Education Agency which has the Texas Education Code which it is stated as has Texas legislature that the children whom are “Most at risk of school failure” are the children that qualify to enter PK in the state of Texas. I believe that this process is necessary to assure the applications of the laws stated and the organization of the schools. Even thought, most of the laws created by the different agencies are justified and healthy for our society. I believe that there could be some changes made, such as in the Texas Education Agency allowing all children to enter the PK program without any restrictions.
