During Thanksgiving, it is a family tradition of mine to visit my aunt and my other family in Kinston, North Carolina. At least once every year, my dad and I go down to visit. On Thanksgiving Break, my dad and I left home in Springfield, Virginia for our six-hour car ride that takes us through Richmond, to my aunt’s home and my family’s vast property in Kinston. My dad and I usually leave at the beginning of the week of Thanksgiving, so we can enjoy a lot of time with our family. Usually, my grandma will come to my dad’s house from Maryland to ride with us for the rest of her trip. When we get to Kinston, we greet family and soon after we have dinner. It usually is very calm earlier in the week when we arrive.
