The aging world population is rapidly increasing due to increased life expectancies, declining fertility and the large baby boomer generation. Concerns have been raised about the traditional retirement age and at the current pace we must reevaluate the traditional retirement plans in place and account to ensure future financial integrity to maintain and implement long term health care and pension systems that are sustainable. It is important to look at the social care systems in place that currently support long term care and provide social support to encourage healthy aging and improve the quality of life into retirement.
