Women are often thought of the weaker and more emotional part of society by many people. Little girls grow up hearing saing from males or even female parents such as “you run like a girl” or that “women are meant to cook while the male goes to make the money.” Through life women and girls will be looked at funny, given names and even sexually harassed by the male counterparts of society. Women are often times told to deal with it because it comes with life, but do we see news stories of women sexually harassing men; no we do not because even from a young age a female knows what it feels like to be sexually harassed by a male, we know the hurt and humiliation that it makes us feel. When one of these allegations are made against a doctor it is taken very serious because not only is it a life altering alligation it is also a career altering allegation. Many times when a male doctor is examining a female patient there can be some questionable touching that can raise some red flags that may be wrong or they could be right. In a case that led to false allegations against surgical doctor Thomas Guastavino. Gustavino was giving a medical exam to a female patient while there was no other people o medical staff in the room, which leads to where the patient can start questioning the touching and interaction between doctor and themselves. After a few weeks passed Gustavino was called in by his bosses to be told about the allegations this women ha made and that he was to be let go. If these allegations were true the hospital had made the right choice to remove Gustavino as one of their surgical doctors, but they were not true and when rewatching the surveillance cameras they realized that this women did not know the proper medical procedure of exams.
