The American Dream Today in America, people are taught to chase their dreams, try to go as far as you can or live life to the fullest. This is basically saying get to the top so you can live “The American Dream”. But all American citizens don’t believe that you have to go after what’s best to live this so called dream that we have in America today. Which brings the question to people “Is the American dream a myth, or is it something U.S citizens need to live a satisfying life. Most people feel that “The American Dream” is all about having money or being rich and spending your funny in a flashy way. But in my eyes, I don’t see it as that. I think that the dream is more about living life how that person wants to and being able to live your life in a manageable fashion to where you can budget your money and be satisfied at the end of the day how everything went. If there is a person that has an outstanding amount of money, it is no guarantee that they are satisfied all around with life. But, at the same time there could be a person who makes a decent amount of money to where they are in good enough shape to supply for their needs and be very happy while the person with the money is rich and miserable. I think that I can relate to the quote “Money, if it does not bring you happiness, it will at least help you be miserable in comfort”, by Helen Gurley because it is saying that if money doesn’t satisfy you,
