The following day, police wanted to question Gacy. Lieutenant Kozenczak, whose son goes to school with Robert Piest, wants to do a thorough investigation because he learned that Gacy had recently remodeled the Nisson Pharmacy where Piest was abducted (SC 11). Lieutenant could not get a hold of Gacy that day and then the following day at 3:20 in the morning, he showed up at the police station looking for Lieutenant Kozenczak. The lieutenant showed Gacy the search warrant they had on him for his house. At first, Gacy refused to give his keys up to his house, but then later surrendered them.
