All aspiring music groups have to start somewhere. For the Beatles, it was playing in mostly clubs for the first three years of their career. Being an English band, they became popular in the United Kingdom first before making a fan base in the United States, and around the rest of the world. The band lived in Germany for a large portion of that first three years getting gigs in clubs there. In February, 1964, the Beatles made their first trip to the USA to perform live, and some 3,000 people were there to greet them. The “Fab Four” toured internationally for years, attracting fans across the globe. Although their use of LSD in 1965 brought up some controversy among fans, the band was overall successful. In 1970, the Beatles broke up due to their lack of interest in continuing to perform live and the members’ involvement in financial and legal conflicts. However, almost all the members continued individual music careers after the split.
The Beatles have been a very influential to culture, setting records like most number one albums on British and American Top 100 charts
