Introduction to Tablet computers and PCs
Today, technology has improved to the extent that we now have very fast computers that can fit on ones lap, desk or even in ones pocket. The use of computer tablets and PCs has become part of our daily endeavours in the last decade. Individuals and organizations use it in their homes to find information, store pictures and music, track finances, play games and communicate with others. Business and governmental setups like ministries and departments also rely on Tablet Computers and PCS in communication and storing of various information such as data on customers, employees’, suppliers, competitors and other stuff like manage projects, do research and analyze data.
Since apple lunched its device in 2010, more companies and organizations are looking into how to improve on theirs. Because of the reliability, manufactures have put in the market different sizes, capacity and models in order to take full advantage of this insatiable demand for computers. This continuous demand has fuelled the debate of the possibility of computer tablets over taking the traditional PCs in terms of sales by the year 2016.
In the course of this research, the productivity, accessibility and compatibility of computer tablets in Organizations will be examined. This will be viewed against the projection that it might be able to push conventional PCs out of its place as the main foundation of information technology in organizations in the very near future.

Introduction of the iPad in April 2010 and ensuing explosion of the worldwide media tablet market was yet another impetus to the rising importance of mobility in the enterprise.
Computer Tablets offer an easier alternative for mobile workers looking for media, collaboration, and basic personal productivity capabilities on the move in the course of their daily functional endeavours. Forrester, a research company is of the opinion that almost one-third of tablets are to be sold directly to businesses by 2016. Business activities and initiatives involving media tablets spread over different contexts like notepads for executives; showcase and presentation tools for sales professionals; decision-support devices for technical staff in the field; and education support for organization training and development .Learning on the go was designed as a strategy to facilitate, enhances, and extends teaching and learning through mobile devices. The ability to carry computer tablets around makes it more comfortable and easier to continue working out of office whiles on the move either on the trains or buses trains and it increases productivity.
Compatibility
The compatibility and adaptability of computer tablets in organizations are the main reasons for the rise in its use in the last few years. Many organizations now use it at work places and even in the educational sector where it has come in very handy for electronic and virtual learning. Students can download on the move and be able to discuss academic issues using sticky notes.
