In the story “the Bite of the Mango” by Mariatu Kamara, the title of the story has a significant meaning throughout Mariatu’s journey. Mango’s are always shown at a time when Matiatu is seeking hope, motivation, or a source of safety/shelter. It is a good title as it represents exactly what she needs in order to keep herself on track. Other titles that would fit, must include a symbol which represents Matiatu’s needs as well.
