On Monday, April 2nd I had the opportunity to listen to Josh Larson, who was the speaker at First Mondays. Josh specifically talked about his book, Movies are Prayers. In his book he talks about what our intentions are when we go and watch a movie. Josh explained that prayer can be universal and that prayers recognizing and expresses longings. Elements of movies recognize humanity’s needs, these needs that need to be made come from a deep longing for our Lord and Savior. Movies can help us to recognize these prayers or needs when we aren’t necessarily looking for them, because our intentions are to simply watch a movie.
I wonder if movies can be prayers when they are being used in negative way and when they are not being used in intentional
