Other characters pick on Lennie because George does all the talking so he looks like an insecure guy but he is not. In the text it says “Say, you sure was right about him. Maybe he ain’t bright, but I never seen such a worker.” This quote shows that Lennie is hardworking, but it also shows that just because he isn't the brightest doesn't mean he can't have a job and be good at it. Lennie is a dynamic character so far because throughout the book he does not change. Lennie is still the same compassionate, hard working, mindless, loyal person throughout the chapters. In the text it says “Uh-uh. Jus’ a dead mouse, George. I didn’t kill it. Honest! I found it. I found it dead.” (Chapter 1) “Give ‘um to me, George. I’ll take ‘um back. I didn’t mean no harm.” (Chapter 3) This shows that Lennie is still the man who is thoughtful and loves animals throughout chapters. Lennie is a sweet man who loves soft animals.
