As the weather turns to bright skies and warmer temperatures, my friends and I have been enjoying our time outside as much as possible. My one friend, Heather, has a balcony attached to her apartment complex, and this is where our conversation took place. Each Sunday afternoon, a couple of us lay down blankets and pillows, and we create a fort-like area to relax on. The Sunday that I recorded this conversation, there were three of us on the balcony. This was an example of affection because Bailey was appreciating my company and didn’t want me to leave for a weekend. The mutual understanding of the outsider (Parnell) and the expression of affection made by Bailey are both indicators of our close
