Perseus was only a baby when he was found inside a box with his dead mother by a fisherman, so he decided to give him a home. A few years passed when Perseus was sailing with his family, they saw soldiers Wrecking a statue of Zeus, declaring war against the gods. Immediately after that, Hades appeared out of nowhere destroying Perseus's ship, unfortunately, the ship sank with his family and he couldn't save them. While the war was happening between the mortals and the gods, Hades thought they were growing too powerful which means he can't feed on their fear to become powerful and immortal.
