I chose Bernini’s The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa, and Michelangelo’s Pieta. I chose these because they both focus on 2 people. The first thing I noticed about Bernini’s piece is that he used a lot of cloth imagery to cover up sizable portions of the body, so he doesn’t get too detailed with the parts of the body. Michelangelo really understood the body and showed more of his skills, even though he does use a small amount of cloth, you can see why he is a legend. There are major differences in the meanings of each sculpture. Although they are both spiritual and religious, they represent different feelings. Pieta brings a feeling of sadness, as Christ lays dead in the lap of his mother, Mary. The Ecstasy of St. Teresa gives a different feeling,
