Korgen and White authors of the bookThe Engaged Sociologist (2015) claim that in order to understand sociology we must put on sociology glasses and look beyond the physical aspects and think of the familiar and make it strange. As my sociology professor said “we must think outside of the box, because that is what sociology is about”(class lecture). In the following paragraph I will turn a familiar item and make it strange using the sociologist points of view.
