The film Consumed, written by Zoe Lister-Jones and director by Daryl Wein, looks into the ongoing issue of the regulation of GMO’s being placed into our food. Rather than the cliché food documentary this movie focuses on the political background of this issue, while attempting to highlight a hidden epidemic. I do think it is important to add this writer is attempting to go outside the box with this topic, in order to appeal to the general audience’s fears. The director seems to accomplish his overall goal in this film, which is to enlighten the general public of the possible misuse of farming by large multimillion dollar company’s.
