International Business Pre-course Assignment ---The Globalization
Introduction
Globalization can be described as an ongoing process where resources, believes, ideas and technology from different cultures are integrated to each other and promote new ways of thinking and practices among the society. With the development of the relationship between different countries, it offered a global and local linkage of social changes that happened in the nation. Over the past 30 years, international trade and investment are fast-growing and expand faster in China, and China sees globalization as their key to economic development and securing a better future for its 1.3 billion of populations. With the great impact of China’s economy, it also affects the daily life of Chinese people.

Impact ① Life Style The initial phenomenon in China 10-20 years ago was commodities of famous international brands such as Coca Cola, Nike, and Adidas which were sold in shops around the world, set up their shops in China’s big cities; fast foods like KFC and McDonalds become popular among young people. Until now, we can see more that 60% of the brands, shops in China are foreign brands. As a young generation people, what I observed is most of the young generation in China they prefer drink Starbuck coffee, use iPhone or Samsung smart phones, dress Korean or Japanese style clothes, listen K-Pop and watch American drama. For our parents, the car they drive may designed in Europe, manufacture in Asia and assemble in South America. And the household commodities they use almost from foreign brands which we can easily bought in supermarket. When we have family or friends dinner party, we can choose Italian, Chinese or Mexican food. The reason is simple: Globalization. It is convenient to choose and buy different brands of products in the market even in the website. Consumers have more purchasing choices than ever before due to the globalization movement. The Internet has opened new opportunities for browsing from the comfort of home, and there are products available from all over the world. The reason causes these kinds of phenomenon is that globalization affect economy and international cooperation. There is a tremendous change in terms of industrialization as well as modernization. Thus, this power changes the local culture and a person’s thought. A growing urban middle class provides an expanding market for both domestic products and for imports from foreign countries.

Impact ②. Communication become Easier The impact of globalization is connected each part of our daily lives in the home, school and workplace as a whole network. Technologies such as Internet or telecommunication have played an important role. For example, students who like us which study overseas can use instant messaging text someone instantly and get a response quickly. Our parents or friends can call me over Skype or QQ in everywhere and talk for free on our computer or smart phone for as long as we want by using Internet. Also Facebook and Twitter are the most two famous social networking website which allow you make different friends from different countries and pay attention to each other’s lives. We can do so many things by using technologies and just at our fingertips. Globalization has lead to the increase in the spread of technology all over the world. The technology that is used in Europe is also used in china and at times even found in Africa. The Japanese have been known to modify different technologies that they see existing in the USA. The Chinese are now the ones who imitate all the existing technologies anywhere in the globe. Thus, the latest technologies which exist in every part of the world ensure that communication has become a major tool that connecting the world.

Impact ③. Social-culture (i.e. People’s thoughts and behaviors)
Because of globalization,the world has become a multi-culture society. The most obvious
