The Ten Booms are a very close, faithful, and caring family. I think that the Ten Booms all believed in each other and believed and trusted in God. They encouraged each other to do good. So when everything was so devastating around them and they were living good lives, they probably felt grief. The least they could do would be to fulfill the word of the Gospel, by helping others, especially when they were in need, because it was what they knew to do. Them knowing that there were worse situations , probably encouraged them to be strong. They also knew whatever happened was in God’s hands and what He chose , so they were okay with that. I feel inspired to have been able to read about the Ten Boom’s unbelievably, constant faith in God through all of their troubles. All in all, The Hiding Place really just amazed me even more with the power of God’s grace and how much faith can do. It was inspiring to see the Ten Boom’s faith throughout their work in the underground and again in their experience in the concentration camps. Reading about all of the different lessons in faith was really interesting for me. I loved hearing the different ways in which God worked through Corrie to prepare her for her work in helping the Jews. Corrie’s journey throughout this book was truly an inspiration to me and my
