The Jews did not want to acknowledge Moishe’s warnings because they were too afraid to deal with the reality that they were in grave danger. The Jews choose to disregard the many warnings given to them, and instead, comfort each other through ignorance, becoming purblind to the facts which lie in front of their faces. The Jewish people ignored the many warnings they gave themselves self comfort, and turn
