In the article “The Human Cost of an Illiterate Society” published in “reading for writers” in New York, 2013 by Jonathan Kozol. I can see that this is something Jonathan Kozol is very passionate about the issues and struggles going on right now with those who are illiterate. Because of reading his article I have now seen and heard many stories that I would have never even thought of. This article made me truly open my mind and made me think about all the emotions these people are going through, it gave me a very strong compassionate feeling towards them and their stories that they shared.
