Why chewing gum should be allowed in school

Who doesn’t like a good piece of gum? Tasty, cures hunger, and helps you concentrate. Just the idea of being able to chew gum in school makes us students want to jump for joy and will soon make you, Mrs. Thies do the same! Chewing gum has and will again make kids better students

Even a little thing such as chewing gum helps your memory improve and helps to relieve stress, something most students have too much of. Kenneth Allen, a professor at NYU’s College of Dentistry, has proven that chewing gum can help you in school. Almost all students need something little to help their brains focus on the task at hand. Teachers won’t let kids do things such as tapping their pencils on desks, so kids might space out or not be able to focus. It’s a win win! It might take some time to adjust to the rule, but in a week or two everyone would love it! Next week needs to be the week we start chewing gum! This school needs to try new things once in awhile and now is the perfect time!
