New findings in the aftermath of concussions are creating a huge stink within the NFL. Players such as Andre Waters (retired Eagles player) have been diagnosed with Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy is a progressive degenerative brain disease that is found in people who have played contact sports or have suffered many concussions. The symptoms include aggression, speech and language difficulties, motor impairments, vision and focusing problems and dementia. Andre suffered multiple concussions and was diagnosed with CTE after he committed suicide in 2006. However, CTE is not the only problem within the NFL. Lawsuits are piling on due to the ignorance of players injuries and not treating them to their best …show more content…
