At the Alzar School, I developed my own personal style of leadership from learning of qualities such as resilience, 360 degree thinking, accurate awareness, and inspiring vision. I did so through outdoor adventure and exercising independence by living alone; I am extremely appreciative for this development and wanted others to discover the importance of leadership. Upon returning home from the Alzar School, students were challenged to look at issues in their community; I noted that there is a large socioeconomic barrier between people in Atlanta and more specifically, my high school. I created a mentor program that would form new relationships among kids with different socioeconomic backgrounds in Atlanta. Naming the program, “Breaking Down
