Hello class, today I will tell you about how my Oma came to Canada.
My Oma, or my dad’s mother, came from Holland, and moved to Canada in July of 1954. She had a low quality job, with very little pay, and many other people were leaving as well. Almost all of these people either moved to Canada, or Australia, and she chose Canada.
The reason my Oma chose Canada was because she had relatives there, so she had a temporary housing until she got her own hous. There were many high quality jobs, with good pay, giving her the extra bit of encouragement she needed to move to Canada.
I, personally, would not leave Canada to go to a different country, as it is very peaceful here, unlike some other countries, and there are many good job opportunities,
