Off the grid living has become increasingly more popular thanks to the simplicity and affordability of maintaining a minimalistic homestead. Individuals seek to live off the grid for a variety of reasons. Many believe that it is a great way to have more control over their lives and not have to worry about the excessive lifestyle many Americans accept as the norm. Due to the growing interest in this way of life, the government has realized that it is beginning to lose valuable tax money as a result. Therefore, more and more regulations are being passed to penalize or punish those who choose to live off the grid. This is unacceptable and should not be allowed under any condition.
