Information often gained from torture is useless and does not help the government prevent future terrorist attacks or gather insight to previous acts of terror. Even though it is immoral, torture is used as a default way to try to gain information because fear drives the interrogator to abuse it as an easy way out. The United States government must not use torture against terror suspects because it is not useful in finding out information, violates the same human rights that the United States of America has been trying to protect and it is not done in a safe manner. Most of the information gained from torturing terrorist suspects is not useful. The director of the CIA, John Brennan, Said that there has been no useful information acquired from Enhanced interrogation techniques used in Guantanamo Bay (Goldman Craighill).
