Music culture is seeping with passion, so to see such an emphasis on music where jazz studies is an integral part of Columbia's general education is incredibly enticing.

I have been studying both jazz and classical music through private voice lessons and by practicing with school choirs. I have performed in China, Philippines, South Africa and around the Bay Area.

While I have grown tremendously as a classical singer because of its challenging and intricate repertoire, jazz has taught me to improvise and explore the unique qualities of my voice.
