?The Invalid?s Story? is a short story wrote by the famous American writer Samuel Clemens, also known as Mark Twain. Our story begins with our main character is 41 years old, but appears much older. His physical stature has been significantly reduced significantly in the past two years, he blames a box of guns he has been trying to deliver down a 200 mile railroad. Our character then tells us that he will explain it all to us now, and tells us that he belonged in Cleveland, Ohio. He then continues to inform us that one stormy winter night he came into his home to find hs oldest boyhood friend, John B. Hackett, had passed away and that his final request was too
