The Jackson Five The Jackson Five is a unique group that formed in 1964 during the “crossover” era. The were unique for a few different reasons one being that they were the first all black group to attain a crossover, another being that they were the first group to debut four consecutive #1 hits on the hot 100, and lastly that one of their members left and became one of the most famous household names, Michael Jackson. The Jackson five was a family, that formed a band, that is now in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. There were five members, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine who’d later be replaced by Randy, Marlon, and Michael.
