Even when you sin you can find the path back to redemption no matter how hard the task. Due to the fact Amir had sinned against his greatest friend his only supporter when not helping him in the alley. The book starts with a flash back to Amir’s childhood so we can better understand how he works his way back to redemption “there is only one sin. That is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft. When you kill a man, you steal a life. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. Amir was being tied down by that sin all his life until he got a call one day, and that call was his call back to redemption. The call was from Rahim Khan and at the end he stated “There is a way to be good again”(page 2 chapter one) It states he said it almost as an afterthought. Which makes people think about how to redeem their own sin or how to make up for unforgivable actions. This unforgivable action is related to stealing, which is the greatest sin.
