Roald Dahl creates scary stories by using repetition. In “The Landlady” by Roald Dahl, Billy weaver was a young businessman from London. On his first night in Bath, he was on his way to “The Bell and Dragon”, which was a pub. All of the sudden a sign in a window caught Billy’s eye, the sign said “BED AND BREAKFAST”. He thought that it must be nicer than the pub so he decided to stay there. He ended up finding out how creepy the old lady was, first it seemed that she was expecting him, then she was checking him out, and lastly he finds out she stuffs her animals, what Billy doesn't know is that he’s going to be her next victim.
