In this writing assignment, I was asked to write about slavery, the harsh reality of how slaves were treated, and their attempts to escape. There is no denying that the conditions that these slaves lived in were extremely terrible and that is something that anyone would want to escape. This assignment will be used to show exactly what those who were enslaved struggled through, the things they seen and have to live in, and finally, the things they did to escape and their struggle once they were away from their master.
