The hero’s journey has twelve stages: The Ordinary World, Call to Adventure, Refusal of the Call, Meeting the Mentor, Crossing the threshold, Allies/Test/Enemy's, Approach to the Inmost Cave, The Ordeal, The Reward, The Road Back, The Resurrection, and Return with the Elixir.
