The Mabo case that occurred in the early 1990’s was the day Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people got the right for equal rights by challenging the Australian Governments Legal System. As well at contemporary impacts of the rights of Aboriginal sacred land. What is there’s and what land has been taken away from them. Between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Aboriginals they may disagree and argue about who’s land belongs to them and their different family values. Different family values include the role of each family member and their expectations of each other. Family and beliefs are very important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as family is very important to them. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people also have different learning styles including eye contact is impolite, please and thank you are not needed and group is more important than the person.
