The mental model of scapegoating is the learning barrier that I have seen in my workplace. We are all born in ignorance, but to remain in ignorance is a choice. This model can be labeled as a form of denial and ignorance. As an employee of the Shelby County Sheriff Department, I have seen and came into contact with different aspects of scapegoating. It is not a healthy ingredient in an environment which learning is the number one priority. As pillar citizens of the community and law enforcement agencies, scapegoating remains a high priority in my workplace.
