As a child, there’s always going to be things that are wrong or off about your favorite shows and movies. Most of these are never realized until later in life. For many, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a perfect example. The Ninja Turtles franchise has been spread out through decades worth of comics, television, movies, and merchandising. But that hasn’t been done without problems, specifically when it comes to the characters themselves. The most harmless of one being the misspelling of Michelangelo’s name in the early comics which had an extra “a” in it and was later corrected. Errors like these are nothing major, others are more problematic. I’m referring to a common thought raised by fans about the mischaracterization of the main four.
