Without these protests people would not realize that many people are not being treated fairly. Mainstream media is always telling black people to protest peacefully, yet now that they finally found a way to do so people still have a problem with it. Kaepernick’s actions do not mean that he does not respect the country or our flag, but simply that things need to change. We need to pay attention to the important issues and not let media trick us into believing wrong ideas and perceptions.
