The connection I made with the author was that we were both in closet gay men that had to cover ourselves up in order to conform to today’s society standard. Although my counterargument is that I do believe a person should cover themselves if they are in a specific situation in which others might cause harm to them just for being themselves that they should accept that it’s is okay because they are protecting themselves. That being said in my opinion the one flaw in having to cover yourself up doesn’t outweigh the beneficial freedom and expression of identity in not covering in which I stand on the side of agreeing with Yoshino's
