According to Rebekah Nathan, “struggling with community” has always been the American way of life. Some people may feel connected and protected, while others may feel obligated and trapped by the “fears of conformity”. I believe that the majority of people desire a sense of belonging and are constantly seeking connection to others. We want to feel a part of something greater. As if, individually, we are not as significant or relevant.
