“The Pedestrian” is a short story by Ray Bradbury that’s set in the future ( year 2053) where everyone has a television and no one goes outside except one man. This man later to be named leonard mead goes out for a stroll this night for fresh air. During his stroll he encounters brite lights over this hill. In this moment Ray bradbury uses imagery to make it seem almost like there’s a battle going on.

He does this by making Leonard mead say “Hello, in there,” he whispered to every house on every side as he moved. “What's up tonight on Channel 4, Channel 7, Channel 9? Where are the cowboys rushing, and do I see the United States Cavalry over the next hill to the rescue?”. This one sentence was packed with imagery and you could form a clear
