The United States was founder on many principles as stated in the Preamble to the Constitution. The Preamble is the opening statement in the Constitution, it states many of the freedoms and principles that are needed for the country to function. One of the least important parts of the Preamble is "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity." Part of the Preamble that is not as important is "promote the general Welfare." As a country the United States has been able to accomplish much, by following the parts of the Preamble.
