I have chosen the fifth prompt. In my opinion, whether flag-burning should be criminalized depends on the intention of such act. On how Clinton referred the Star-Spangled Banner as embodying the “revolutionary idea that…created equal, and equally entitled to life, liberty…” the flag symbolizes eternal principles of liberty, justice,equality and humanity in this nation. It represents the foundation which this country is built on and emphasizes various aspects of the American freedom( freedom of speech, religion, assembly etc).
