If we are to think about transplants, many of us may think of the following: heart transplants, liver transplants, kidney transplants, and even lung transplants. However, one that may not come to our head but is making its way out into this world, is uterus transplants which are being tested as a way of helping infertile women that were born without a uterus or may have had a hysterectomy due to health issues such as cancer. One of the main reasons we may think that women get uterine transplants is to allow women to carry a child or multiple children such as living donor uterus transplants (LDUTx).
