The purpose for Frankz Kafka writing the book, The Metamorphosis, was to tell the audience that life can be in someone's favor one moment and then the next, life can stomp on the person like a bug. There is some evidence that Kafka's work somewhat connects to his life and how he suffered in life. Kafka's novel shows the difficulties Gregor was living in a modern society and the struggle for acceptance of others when in a time of need, this was the same for Frankz. In the novel, Kafka reflects on many of the negative aspects of his personal life, both mentally and physically.
