This investigation will assess how the puritan religion escalated the situation of the Salem witch trials and how the liberals felt about the Salem Witch Trials during the time period of February 1692 and May 1693. It will also highlight the difference in belief between the puritans and the liberals.
Criterion B will outline the events that proceeded as a result of the extreme nature of the puritan religion. It will also highlight the major opposing beliefs of the liberals against the puritan belief of execution of woman who were accused of practicing witchcraft.
