The short story, “The Ransom of Red Chief” by O. Henry, would be very different if it was from Red Chiefs point of view. Red Chief really didn’t know he was being kidnapped, but he was happy to get away from home and school. Red Chief said, “‘I like this fine. I never camped out before’” (Henry 72).
