Rafid Mirza My favorite part of the book, “The Red Badge of Courage,” was when Henry and his regiment won the battle. “There was some long grass. The youth nestled in it and rested, making a convenient rail support the flag. His friend, jubilant and glorified, holding his treasure with vanity, came to him there. They sat side by side and congratulated each other” (Crane 138). The reason I especially liked this part of the book because it contains the scene described in the quote. It shows how a friendship has been forged on the anvil of war, and how powerful that bond is. The scene provides a beacon of light in a grim setting. The scene also contains the end of a bloody battle which tested the mettle
